Parochial Church Council Meeting

A short PCC meeting to elect officers for the succeeding year followed the APCM..

Mrs Betton was proposed as treasurer by Dr Lewis and seconded by Lt Col Barrett.

Dr Lewis indicated that she was happy to continue as secretary and was proposed by Mrs Fitzgerald and seconded by Capt Betton.

Capt Betton indicated that Mr Clarke would be assisting Lt Col Barrett in his absence while abroad.

He went on to say that the service at Holy Trinity on Rogation Sunday would be at 11.30, followed by a barbeque in the churchyard.

The proposal was that tickets for the Open Gardens event would be priced at £3 per adult and £5 for a couple, with children’s entry free. The meeting agreed. Mr Clarke is co-ordinating a flyer for the event.

The service for Trinity Sunday would be a Benefice service.

The Mercy Ships’ service is to be held in the Victoria Hall on August bank holiday Sunday and is being co-ordinated by Ruth Guy.

Date of next meeting  21^st June 8pm at Red House, Sutton Scotney.
